Favorite Quote: Judy Garland on Keyholes

I never looked through a keyhole without finding someone was looking back.

Who Said It:
Judy Garland

My Thoughts:
This quote sums up perfectly the lack of privacy global fame brings. The books I've read, the people I've talked with and the TV specials I've watch almost always mention the excitement and chaos that followed Judy wherever she went.

I think her life was the precursor to this celebity frenzied world we have today.
Her life was magical and crazed, with new men and old overdoses, and concerts that lit up the world and concerts that dimmed all hope.
She was one of a kind.

Judy lived a very interesting life! She was like the poster child for the insane lifestyle these celebrities take on.

never heard of this quote before...
The last time I checked mine, it was a 'ghost town' tumble weed & all! haha...
Great day to you darling!

It is interesting because as we move into the 21st Century, people are increasingly doing things that were once considered private, such as talking to our lawyers and doctors on cell phones, out in public. And the Read/Write web certainly has increased our "private spaces" and made them more publicly accessible. There isn't any need to look through keyholes anymore. So maybe Judy truly was ahead of her time in many ways.

I have a book somewhere that is full of famous quotations. It reads like a clever version of twitter.

Some are thought provoking and intelligent, some are just silly.

The silly ones are the only ones i remember.

Victor Lewis Smith - "the Beatles are dying in the wrong order"

Albert Einstein - "the hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax"

Studs Terkel - " I always like to quote Albert Einstein because nobody dares contradict him"
