Buca di Beppo: Food Review 46 of 52

Place:
Buca di Beppo

Location:
1204 Harmon Place
Minneapolis, MN

Who I Went With:
Scott, David, Jan, Peter and Sara.

What I Ate:
Buca serves family style and there was so much food! We had garlic bread, baked rigatoni, spaghetti with meatsauce, fettuccine alfredo, garlic mashed potatoes and Italian broccoli romano.

Would I Go Back:
Yes!

Worth the Price:
Very much. The first Buca di Beppo opened its doors in 1993 in this basement location of a Minneapolis apartment building. They now have 86 locations nationwide. It was great to eat at the original. The food was wonderful.

Oooh! That looks good! 'Family style' eating in a restaurant is always dangerous for me. After I'm done stuffing myself, you'd have to roll me outta there!

That's what I'm talking about! I've been a few times to the one down here but I'm sure there's nothing like the original.

Yet another chain I haven't heard of.

It's time for another road trip.

I am SO mad at Bucca di Beppo. It is still one of my favorite Italian restaurants, but they removed their Pizza Bianca from their menu and it was my absolute favorite! :(

The rate at the way this restaurant is growing is quite impressive! The photo looks so YUMMY! Pasta is my middle name! I can eat it every day! You must be thrilled you have only 7 places left to go??? How will you top this next year??? You're turning into a professioal food critic!!! YAY!

I've been to it in Chicago. The food is decent but we have so many good, mom and pop shops here that I would probably not go as my first, second or third option. But it maybe more a reflection on my part of Chicago than the burbs. Is that how Minneapolis is too?

I loved going to Buca to eat their chicken cacciatore and their speghetti with meat sauce. Then they closed in our neighborhood, and now the closest one is downtown. I was/am so bummed.

I love that place. We have several of them here in Pittsburgh. My favorite meal by far though is the meat filled tortelloni with vegetables tossed in Alfredo sauce. Yum!
