Quang: Food Review 42 of 52

As part of my New Year's Resolution to try 52 new restaurants, diners, coffee shops and bakeries during 2009, I present the following review.

Place
Quang

Location
2719 Nicollet Ave
Minneapolis, MN 55408

Who I Went With
Scott, David and PK

What I Ate
Tofu Pad Thai

Would I Go Back
Yes.

Worth the Price
Yes. Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes. I've tried it in many restaurants and I have my Minneapolis favorites. Quang served some delicious Pad Thai. Well worth the price and I would go back for it.

Have you ever had beef panang at a Thai place? OMG! See if you can find a place that makes it without the coconut milk in it . . . Ten times better! We have this place called Vic's out here in Van Nuys . . . Amazing. Worth the hour and a half drive . . .

Every time I'm sitting here hungry as hell, and waiting for my late lunch to be delivered, I pull up your site and you have some delicious looking dish to make me even more hungry. Are you doing this on purpose?

Greetings Michael!

Looks good. I'm not into Thai food very much. Must try it more next year. Is that a resolution?

Is that a vegetarian dish? I must say, it does look appealing. However, I'm very suspicious of oriental food, ever since my friend Tarquin asked me if I've ever been to a Chinese funeral, which I haven't. So either they live forever or we don't always get what we ask for in restarants. Something to think about the next time you're toying with your tofu at Quangs.

Although I'm not keen on tofu, I love Pad Thai. Wish we could get good Thai food here.
