Food Reviews: Goal Achieved

I did it! I finished my 2009 New Years Resolution to try 52 new restaurants, diners, coffee shops and bakeries. I truly think this is the first resolution I've ever kept.

Thanks to all my friends for sticking with me and getting involved in the fun. And thanks to Mr. Chef (Mattie) for being the inspiration.

Tomorrow I'll post a list of all the food I ate. Going through the blogposts to make this list brought back such great memories. Time with friends, laughs, discussions, great food and new places.

When I started to look back, I wasn't expecting all the smiles, good thoughts and "oh yeah!" moments. I realized this experiment became much more than trying new places to eat.

It also gave me many wonderful memories.

I didn't discover your blog until the Spring of '09 (May?) but at least I got to go along for half the ride with you.

It's been fun!

That might be the best New Years Resolution I've ever heard of. That might be mine next year. I love to eat! Can't wait to see what all you ate.

See THAT'S where I went wrong with my New Year Resolutions ...

I didn't know that they were to be typed all official like ...

Ohh hum, guess a scribble on the back of an old envelope won't do. lol

Congrats!!!

Sadly for the first year ever I made resolutions that I thought I would keep as long as every other year ... Eat loads, drink loads and get fat... Unfortunately reverse psychology is rubbish!

Congratulations on your accomplishment.

I’m wondering if you gained 52 pounds from this experiment?

Michael, this was a perfect blog project. It was fun, entertaining, and informative. Are you thinking of doing anything similar to this in the future?
