Favorite Quote: On Applause

Quote:
In the silence of night I have often wished for just a few words of love from one man, rather than the applause of thousands of people.

What a said insight into her painful life. I wonder if any on the people who heard it, really thought about what she said.

Do you know when she said this?

I've always loved her.
So, so sad, all she wanted was love from one man and she got love from millions.

JUDY is great! Lately, I've been into the old Hollywood glamour thing. I discovered Mamue Van Doren and so many great stars are still alive from the era.

A few words of love whispered in one's ear at any time are wonderful!

that's a tough one --- the applause of thousands is probably easier to get. LOL.

Judy was such a Goddess...and how right she was with those words!

Hearing her say that just exposes how used and lonely she was.It is a travesty how she was treated, but to her credit, she tried to make the best of what little she had left after people had used her, dumped her, and moved on. Such a strong, amazing woman given her circumstances.

I have to agree with that too
