Joan Rivers Performs in Sioux Falls, SD

When I found out that Joan Rivers was performing in South Dakota for the very first time in her career, I really wanted to be there. Sioux Falls is a four hour drive from Minneapolis, so I decided to go.

The night before the show, I talked with her and she wondered what to expect from a South Dakota audience. There was no need to worry. The show was a success. The audience loved her.

After the show I went backstage and we talked for awhile. She was thrilled for the positive audience response.

Then she said, "Tomorrow is Iowa. I wonder how they will be?"

I told her not to worry.

I love that fact you two are so comfortable with each other, that's great! I really enjoy her. Next time you see her you should tell her to talk to RuPaul about being a judge on Drag Race next season. Can you just imagine all that fabulous? And BTW - you still seem to be getting cuter! That Chestershire cat grin....

Dear Michael, you lucky lucky man.

I love Joan Rivers she is hilarious. She never comes to these part of the globe. Maybe its too cold for her, but then she is in Minneapolis, isn't that the coldest place on earth aside from Montreal?

Virginia.

What an amazing post! You and Joan get along quite well...better than 50% of people in this world with their own flesh and blood families! LOL

I know Joan just did a 20 yr. QVC Alice in Wonderland type show...she inspired me today with my necklace, "ALICE'S WONDERLAND"!

Michael,

You are a true fan! Four hours each way? I barely do that for my family!

So, what's your secret for getting backstage?

Awesome pic! I've adored Joan Rivers since the Carson years when she was the guest...and not the host.

I'm sure Joan Rivers would be safe wherever she went Michael. It is nice of you to give her reassurance though, devoted follower or not. Some people are really unkind to her, but she is one of the few comedians who can realize the partial truths, take them, and turn them around to her own benefit. That's talent!
