Wow I think out of all the quotes you posted I like this one the best. Marilyn was a pretty smart chick for her time. And, she looks smokin in that pic you put up!
This is why I love Marilyn ... I have an affinity with her ... Perhaps sad, but very real. Some people are exposed to the harshness of life. This post touched a chord with me Michael xx

there had to be so much sadness behind that quote...
Kind of sad, but, then, I think that's the true essence of MM.
Is that loving with detachment?
so beautiful and so melancholy. That quote describes Marilyn so well....
Love it! soo true!
What a great picture you used!

beautiful and wise!
Marilyn was wise beyond her years brief as they were.
Thanks for sharing this gem.
Very sad...maybe sadder that I think it's very true.
what a sad, sad, sad quote :((((
as i read this quote i thought two things: 1. how sad. and 2. that's exactly how i think.
Amen to that. And that goes for nice boys as well.
I think she was also good at "kiss and don't tell".
Oh this is too sad.
Marilyn - gone but not forgotten.
Sad and true....
Pretty smart lady!
Sorta sad, but most of it is true.

She seemed like such a lonely girl. Thought of you the other day when an friend was all psyched up about the new Joan Rivers movie.
She was a lot brighter than she was given credit.
That was a great quote. Sad though.
Very wise indeed! Sad but true!

Love MM!!
she's right. And I've never been wise.
ahem
I wish I had known those wise words when I was in my 20s...although I think it applies more to the type of men she attracted or were attracted to.
Well, MM knew it all but never applied it to herself. I feel exceedingly sad whenever I see her.
First time here. I think I am enjoying it. What say, shall follow your works.
Cheerio!

Sad but very Miss Monroe... But hey, where are YOUR thoughts on that?
Wise words from a tragic girl!
