This is the last Friday the 13th of 2010.
One of my superstitions is not looking ahead on a Page-a-Day calendar. Somewhere along the way I developed the thought that it was bad luck. Don't ask me why it's not bad luck to view an entire month on a wall calendar.
What superstitions do you have?

If I have big plans I seldom discuss them for fear they'll fall through.
I don't have any that I know of. Maybe on a more subconscious level.
After eons of working in hospitals, I always know when it's a full moon though - and never have to look at the sky.
Firday the 13 has alwaysed been good for me. Ladders, you ko wdo not walk under them (beside stuff can drop from them, and who is stupid enough to walk under them?)
Hope you have a wonderful and great day today.
Hugs
Ray
My grandmother, use to freak out when we put money on the dinner table and said it was bad luck. So I do the same. No idea why.
I refuse to be completely matched with an outfit. Whenever Ive gone out all matchy matchy thiungs go bad...so I always have something hidden(like underwear or socks ) that dont match....it started when I was a child and I do it to this day.
I could NEVER have a Page-a-Day calendar. I did once and it had that 'good thought of the day quote thingy'. I flipped through the entire calendar in one afternoon because I wanted to read all the quotes.
Those kinds of calendars preoccupy me too much.
Have a great weekend, Michael!
You know Friday the 13th has always been a really good day for me. But I will never set up to meet two guys out at once again. It gets me in trouble everytime!!
If something really bad happens then I never wear that shirt again.
Also when I'm birthin' babies I put a knife under the mattress to cut the pain.
One of my biggest superstitions is spilling the salt. Yes I'm the idiot sitting at the restaurant throwing the shit over my shoulder.
In the Mexican culture, Tuesday the 13th is a bad luck day. :)
I never hang a new calendar up until the new year has started. It has been bad luck for me.
Not ever so superstitious ...
apart from not opening umbrellas indoors and the usual not walking under ladders.
After today (horrendous day at work) I'm beginning to think there's some truth in the Friday 13th thing!
Have a lucky weekend Michael.

None really. I lived in a house number 13 for many years and life was fine.
:-)
Don't wash clothes on New Years Day. You will wash someone out of the family!
Don't put calendars up before the New Year!
Hope all goes well with you.
I never step on cracks. In the sidewalk.
Oddly, (or not?) mine is the same as MJ's up there.
I have only one superstition. In a manner similar to Steven Anthony above, I do avoid wearing the colour red as almost invariably something negative will happen to me.
Btw it's noteworthy that so many of our most popular superstitions, (Friday 13th, walking under ladders), have their origins in Christianity - or so it's said.
Interesting one YOU have, Michale! As for me, whenever I would develop one I wold always try to get rid of it because I always believed it was ruining my life in a way lol I don't even know if I have any right about now - I guess not! But I used to have that fixation on number 3... Like if I dropped something, I'd need to drop it a few more times, or if I accidentally stepped on someone's foot I needed to make it 3 times total lol What did I say about it ruining my life? It definately was so I forced myself to stop with it!
Page a day calendars are fun but I never look ahead.
Friday the 13th turned out to be just a very, very hectic day at work. The whole weekend was a little crazy with me getting mosquitoe and wasp bites. Facebook was acting nutty...I think now my account is disabled again. Yeah...was like a little black cloud that slowly moved past and took a few days to move on! lol
The whole walking under a ladder thing totally freaks me out.
Greetings from Europe. No time to blog, but wanted to visit my fave bloggers. We flew out on Thursday the 12th. Not sure I'm "stupidsticious", but I was glad we weren't flying on Friday the 13th.
Even though I know it's stupid, I wont walk under a ladder.
My late Grandmother refused to cross on stairs
I can't look at tomorrow's horoscope on my iphone app. - it's just wrong.
