In 2002 this production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas toured the country. I've always been a fan of the Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds film.
When I heard that Ann-Margret was running the whorehouse--I was there!

How did she do in your production? When she came to Albany in this show, she bombed so bad on opening night that they closed the show.

Breenlantern, poor Ann was feeling under the weather so bad the night we saw "Best Little Whorehouse" in Chicago that her understudy went on during Act Two. It was a troubled production.
Love her! Love her figure! Her hair! and her VOICE. My daughter played Kim in Bye Bye Birdie last year in a community theater.
I think the singular most extravagant showcase for Ann-Margret is the movie TOMMY which i drag out occasionally just to enjoy the overwrought campiness that as the signature of all Ken Russell films.
